Mikumi National Park is Tanzania’s fourth largest national park and the most accessible from Dar es Salaam nested Within its 3230 sq km. It’s set between the Uluguru Mountains to the north and the Lumango Mountains to the south-east. Mikumi hosts buffaloes, giraffes, elephants, lions, pythons, zebras, leopards, crocodiles, and many more just to mention a few. On this tour, you will see the big four.
Your Driver Guide will be waiting to meet you at your hotel at 08:00 am. From there, you'll
embark on a journey to Mikumi National Park, which will take approximately 5-6 hours, with an
anticipated arrival time of around 3:00 pm. Along the way, you'll have the chance to enjoy a
game drive. In the evening, after a brief period of relaxation, you'll have the opportunity to take a
leisurely walk to a Maasai village to partake in authentic Maasai activities. Later, dinner will be
served, and you'll spend the night at Mikumi Bastian Camp or a similar accommodation

Early Morning at 06:30am After breakfast in the Morning drive to Mikumi National Park for a
full-day game drive until sunset. Your dinner and overnight stay will be in the hotel. Whilst on
safari, you can see a rich variety of bird species, as well as large numbers of giraffes, buffalo and
elephants. If you are lucky, you may also be able to spot lions, leopards and African wild dogs.
Other animals you're likely to see include zebras, hippos, hartebeests, wildebeests, impalas,
warthogs, elands and antelopes.

Following breakfast in the morning, your journey will take you back to Dar es Salaam, passing
through Mikumi National Park. Anticipate an arrival in the late evening, where you will be
conveniently dropped off at the airport, your hotel, or the harbor.

Avoidable problems. Problems relating to the safari vehicle. It was at least 20 years old. There was a big crack in the windshield. We wrote all that off as rusticated charm.But then the vehicle broke down on the side of a remote dirt road, and we were stuck for about an hour until Ibra could recruit an eventual passerby to help jerry-rig a solution to get us to our next stop. This happened on two separate occasions.
